ASH

She let me kiss her. She didn’t argue with me when I told her that we would never say goodbye. She smiled, just slightly but it was still a smile, when I called her my Psyche. I couldn’t focus on all of the other things she said. I knew she was angry and hurt; she had every right to be. I had tried to deny what she meant to me one too many times, and I was still afraid the last time may have cost me her forever.

But finally I had something I hadn’t had in a long time ~ hope. Despite her hateful words and lashing out, I finally felt a semblance of the peace I could only find in her presence. I didn’t know what my next move was, but I sure the fuck wasn’t giving up. After experiencing a life without her in it, I would never give up on her. I would never give up on us.

I received an ARC copy of Ambrosia for an honest interview and dropped everything when I got my copy. I could not wait to see how Scarlett, Mason, and my personal favorite, Ash, worked through all their issues. Last the boys saw of Scarlett she had took off, never to be heard from. The story picks up 8 months later.

Ambrosia begins with Scarlett and Mason reuniting and moving forward. Unfortunately, Mason has some secrets of his own, he decides to hide them from Scarlett. He is afraid they will push her towards Ash, and he knows it would end badly for him. The chemistry of Mason and Scarlett is scorching and Erin writes some amazing love scenes! Ash does a wonderful job of staying away and letting her live her life, but Scarlett is honest with Mase, telling him she will always love Ash in some form. Mase excepts this. Just as things were settling into place Mason's secret arrives in town and details are revealed. Ash finds small ways to let Scarlett know he loves her and is there for her, but keeps his distance. Mind boggling events happen and soon my favorite quote in the entire book happens,

 

"Hello?" He answered sleepily.

"I need you."

 

And this is where the reunion of Ash and Scarlett begins. Will it be a happily ever after for them? Let's just say  sometimes a heart can love more than one person at a time. Erin leaves the reader with great anticipation for book 3 Euphoria due out later this year!
