Afflicted is book 2 in the Battlescars Series. We delve into the past and present of Piper and Blake. Piper is in an extremely difficult situation when she finds herself sexually and personally attracted to Blake. Her love live is unstable with her on again off again relationship with Cole. Cole, suffering from PTSD, is draining Piper of her spunk and sassiness. One minute he is the perfect boyfriend and lover, the next a total asshat! Blake falls for Piper from the beginning and his playboy life changes. Piper is all he wants and needs and will take what ever she will give him, even if it will shatter his heart in the end. The road is a rocky one, but in the end, secrets are revealed and decisions made that just make you sigh. I found myself to really dislike Piper, but in the end she won me over. Blake is 100% swoon worthy! Great book to continue the tales of the Battlescars band mates!
